Why You Should GET ENOUGH SLEEP!

One key way to get sleep is to realize that you need it, and then to make it a priority. Sure, you have a lot that you have to work on to, but you’d be surprised at how much time you waste every day that could be better spent sleeping.

Pag puyat ka, mas less productive ka! You cannot concentrate at the task on hand and you will feel your energy is fast draining and this eventually result to more STRESS at work or school.

And for the worse part, pag puyat ka malaki ang tendency that you will OVEREAT the next day! And this will wreck havoc to your DIET!. You can search articles from the internet why less sleep causes overeating. There’s a scientific explanation out there!

A famous dermatologist recommended also that one should sleep before 11:00PM. Sleeping eight hours will help prevent eyebags and dull skin (no further explanation on this, he he he).

I think also that some health problems are due to lack of sleep, our body’s resistance to fight infections and diseases decreases. And this may lead to some serious health troubles in the long run.

To make sure you get the sleep, think about when you need to wake-up and plan to go bed 7-8 hours before that.

Work hard during the day, and then at bedtime, brush up and go to sleep. This may sound overly simplified, but the reality is that you just have to do it!

ABOUT ONIONS AND GARLICS!

These two (2) are the most commonly used spices but they have the most pungent and sticking odor especially during preparations. Moreover, onions will always bring you to tears when slicing and garlic peeling is really time-consuming! Here are some tips I learned from my friends and from culinary experts:

1. The best way to slice Onions is to FREEZE THEM FIRST. The irritating vapors release from onion during slicing will be trapped inside.

2. How To Destroy Onion Smells. Dampen hands and rub some bicarbonate of soda (commonly known as BAKING SODA) over them.

3. To peel Onions without tears, let water run over them while peeling.

4. To peel-off garlic easily. Dip it in ICE COLD WATER for several minutes.

5. To remove the smell of garlic from your hands, rub it on any STAINLESS STEEL kitchenware or rub on your stainless steel sink.
